The Edmonds Blazers are coached by Jim Fraser (WSYSA D License) with help from Tim Crosby. The list of people it takes to make a team like this work is long and includes most of the team parents so thanks to everyone who helps us along !
Our team philosophy is to be both player and achievement oriented. Our goal is to climb one league level per year and we have achieved this for several years in a row now. We are very player oriented and stress personal development, bonding and teamwork to move the team ahead. We are also very fitness oriented.
We are trying Challenge cup for the first time this year (2011) as a test to see what is the best level of play for the team. In general we play 3 tournaments a year, some serious some fun (Yak Attack). The team also enjoys indoor soccer, but the High School leagues tend to run in the winter and we did not get to play indoor this year, but we expect to next year. We finished in about the middle of the pack in NPSL GU15 Gold this year.
