Quiet Riot G97 takes to the tournament season with gusto!!

Who is FC Edmonds G-97 Quiet Riot?

The FC Edmonds Quiet Riot are a District 1 Premier Level Team that will be playing U14 in 2011.  We are back-to-back Washington State Champions, winning the Presidents Cup as the #1 rec team in the state at GU-11 (SK Angels), 2010 we won the Commissioners Cup at GU-12 and in 2011 we were Semi-finalists in the WYS Challenge Cup(Premier-Division 1)--losing to the eventual state champion VUSA Timbers.   Quiet Riot was started at U7 with Sno-King, founded by JoAnne and Alvin"BigDaddy" Little. To this day, we still have 3 girls from that original "Blue Angels" team.

As a "Select" team from a small club, its a challenge to compete against the girls from the RCL.  They only way we can challenge ourselves with "like" competition, is to play at the highest levels in tournament play,  and compete against Premier teams in State Cup.  However, our biggest decision was to go play US CLUB soccer in the Super League of the PSPL.  It was there that we found kindred souls in level of play, game spirit and good competition.  We travelled all over the state and out of state, played alot of close games and ended up 2nd in Super League--our first year of Premier-level soccer.  We worked tirelessly during the summer, trained with over 10 different trainers in footwork, striking, goal-keeping, positional work, touches and most importantly....Coach D's House of Pain--SAQ/Crossfit!  Its a rare team, that trains with the intensity, desire and pride in their conditioning like a QR girl does.  We've learned to incorporate soccer skills into our SAQ training making us unique amongst our peers.  Our girls have been training this way since U11, and their conditioning is a source of pride within the team...along with warning our new players of the impending rigors that will be set upon them by our top notch conditioning coach!=)  Here's what we did last year in 2011:

2011 GRFC Winter Classic--Premier-- Finalist--Lost in PK's 3-2
2011 Challenge Cup Div 1--- Premier---Semi-finalists (lost to eventual State Champion VUSA Timbers Blue)
2011 Skagit Diadora Firecraker GU14 Champions-Gold Division

2011 Baker Blast-- Premier---Finalists---(Lost to Vancouver Whitecaps regional feeder team)

2011 Mt Hood Challenge--Platinum Div--Finalists--(lost in PK's)

2011 Pacific Coast Super-Cup---Finalists

2011 PSPL Super League---2nd Place

2012 NPSL GU15 (Playing Up) Gold Division--2nd Place

We played nearly 50 games and lost 11 of them.  We scored almost 90 goals and conceded less than half a goal per game.  In 9 tournaments, 5 we played for the Championship, 1 the final four.

Our 2012 tentative plans are to compete again in the 2012 Challenge Cup
